My research lies at the intersection of strategy and innovation, with an emphasis on how firms’ organization design and structure can influence performance outcomes. More specifically, I aim to understand firms’ organization of scope and hierarchy and their consequences.

I am curious about contexts and performance outcomes of societal impact and approach performance broadly, including firms’ reliability, incremental improvement, and non-economic performance outcomes, such as environmental performance.

Before joining IE, I did my PhD at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and I have a background is in mechanical engineering.
